.Deka Immobilien retains DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS to advise on the acquisition of "BIZ ZWEI"
Stefan Artner, partner at DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS and head of the firm's real estate desk, advised Deka Immobilien GmbH on the acquisition of "BIZ ZWEI", which is a large commercial building in Vienna. Deka Immobilien is a subsidiary of the DekaBank Group (Germany's biggest provider of open-ended real-estate funds). Deka Immobilien will incorporate BIZ ZWEI into WestInvest ImmoValue's open-ended mutual real estate fund. The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The building's tenants include such renowned companies as Johnson & Johnson, Xerox Austria and Vienna Communications Consulting. The property has held the "Silver Certificate for Sustainable Construction", awarded by the Austrian Association for Sustainable Property (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Nachhaltige Immobilienwirtschaft), since May 2010.
"This transaction reconfirms the Austrian property market's attractiveness to German investors", says Stefan Artner. "Not only is Deka committed to several properties in Austria through its funds, but investments by other Austrian and foreign funds show that investing in Austrian real estate is perceived as a highly promising investment."
